If you like long winding curves, lakeside scenery and an engineering marvel, this 36-mile trail is for you. This trail goes over top of the Laurel River Dam and is another one of our trails that offers an opportunity to beat the summer heat by stopping at the spillway to take a dip at the beach. This trail starts and ends in historic Corbin Kentucky, home of Colonel Sanders and the original KFC restaurant and museum. Visit Corbin’s’ revitalized main street, its farm to table restaurants and be on the lookout for The Colonel. He’s been known to frequent the area.
