Take a trip down memory lane where Moonshiners crafted and transported their product along this historic road. This trail is 31.1 miles (41 minutes) and connects Copperhead Trail to the Backbreaker from Williamsburg, KY to Pineville, KY-home to Chained Rock. Local lore of Pine Mountain has it that the town was concerned that an enormous boulder, ominously towering above the community, could shear off and tumble down into the town. In 1932, the boulder was secured by a huge chain thus saving the town from disaster. You can see this massive chain and spectacular views of the Cumberland Mountains for a short .3 mile hike.
