The WCMG and Backroads of Appalachia Present Our “First Annual” Memorial Day Ride on McCreary, Wayne, Russell, and Pulaski County’s Newest Trail Route, Scouts Honor! Kentucky’s Most Historic Lake Ride! Take an incredible 122 mile journey with us through Boy Scout and Military History from General Burnside Island State Park as we ride around Lake Cumberland and experience the epic scenery and history that exists there all while honoring Kentucky’s Boy Scout and Military Heritage! From the First Boy Scout Troop Marker in Burnside, KY to the Mill Springs Mill in Monticello, to the Mills Springs Battlefield National Monument and Park in Nancy, to the Somerset Veterans Memorial Park in Somerset, KY! This is one ride absolutely packed with plenty to see, do, and experience.
We will be stopping at many great locations along the way from the Wolf Creek Damn in Jamestown, KY to the Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument and Park, to Haney’s Appledale Farm! Join Us as we take our inaugural Memorial Day Weekend ride on Scouts Honor Trail, The Most Historic Lake Ride in Kentucky!
