Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center is a 354-acre Christian Retreat, recreation, R.V., camping and worship center owned and operated by the United Methodist Church of Kentucky. Historic Fitchburg Furnace and the old ghost town of Fitchburg are all within Aldersgate’s boundaries. Bear Track Lake, a 29 million gallon spring-fed mountain lake, is the centerpiece of our property. Whether it's giving you a relaxing view, cooling the ambient air, or providing a refreshing drink for wildlife, we think Bear Track Lake will be an excellent centerpiece to your vacation as well.

It covers more than 6 acres of land and is surrounded by spectacular cliffs and undisturbed forest. The lake is home to many types of fish, including catfish, bluegill, and bass. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of our albino catfish!

L&N Train Station built in 1917 located in the artisan village of Berea. Has original windows and paneling from the original station. On the National Register of Historical places. Flat Lick Falls Scenic and Recreation Area is tucked into the hills of southern Jackson County and consists of recreational facilities, including primitive camping (check with us about RV camping), picnic shelter and restrooms, 86.09 acres of wooded land, cliffs and Flat Lick creek running through the middle of the property with a 28-foot water fall emptying into a large pool at the bottom of the falls. The creek flows into the Laurel Fork Creek.  The falls can be viewed up close via the meandering paths along the cliff line including a paved path leading to a wheelchair accessible viewing platform.

Many guests reserve to explore the surrounding areas at Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge, but many say that instead, they remained at the cabin enjoying what we have to offer.
