Cranberry Glades Botanical Area

The Cranberry Glades Botanical Area protects the largest area of bogs in West Virginia. Bogs are acidic wetlands more commonly found in the northern areas of this country and in Canada. The ground in a bog is spongy and consists largely of partially-decayed plant material known as peat. Because of its unique conditions, some unusual plants grow in bogs, including carnivorous or insect-eating plants. The Botanical Area encompasses 750 acres.

Dave has been investigating and researching the Supernatural since 1986 due to several experiences he had as a young man. Since that time he has conducted several hundred investigations in the U.S. as well as Europe. Dave served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 Years and went on to Work as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer Retiring in 2011. During his paranormal investigations Dave has experienced many hair raising and Un-nerving things as one might imagine. Having investigated strange phenomena for over 30 years he has built many friendships with some of the most well-known investigators in the field today. He has been seen on various Television shows to include, Expedition X, Terror in the Woods, Paranormal 911, , The unexplained, In Search of Monsters, and These Woods are Haunted to name a few. He was also featured in the Film Flatwoods Monster, ( A legacy of Fear), by Small Town Monsters. He has been a featured Guest on hundreds of Paranormal Themed Radio Shows and Pod Casts. Dave is often a featured guest speaker at Paranormal Conferences around the country. He is Also an Author of numerous books on Topics that include Cryptids, Hauntings and Ufology.

Falls of Hills Creek

Tucked away in a narrow gorge just off the Highland Scenic Highway is a hidden treasure known as the Falls of Hills Creek Scenic Area. This popular 114 acre area contains three waterfalls - 25 feet, 45 feet, and 63 feet. The lower falls, at 63 feet is the second highest waterfall in West Virginia.

Accessibility:
The first 1700 feet of trail is a paved and has a wheelchair accessible path to the upper falls viewing platform.

Directions:
From the North and East via Interstate 79, use Exit 57 onto US Route 19 South to State Route 55. Take WV 55 through Richwood to the Falls of Hills Creek. Approximately 65 miles from Exit 57.

From South and East via Interstate 64 use Exit 169 onto US 219 North to State Route 39/55. West on WV 39/55 to Falls of Hills Creek. Approximately 42 miles from Exit 169 in Lewisburg.
