The planetarium offers public shows on second and fourth Saturdays throughout the year on a first-come first served basis. Typically, a planetarium show includes a special feature from our extensive program library as well as a tour of the night sky. We will also be offering laser shows on these same Saturdays throughout the year (except during the laser system refurbishment in June and July 2022). Following the laser shows as weather permits (the sky clear and temperature warm enough) we will sponsor outdoor viewing of the night sky with telescopes. The star theater will also offer public domain science fiction movie nights on the last Friday of each month. The Star Theater is available for use during the week and evenings by school and community groups by reservation. See the calendar for the current show schedule.

In case of inclement weather, please visit www.moreheadstate.edu/weather. The Star Theater follows MSU procedures for closure.
